Welcome!

Welcome to ISPDC 2008 website! The 7th International Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Computing (ISPDC 2008) will take place in Krakow, Poland, from July 1th to 5th, 2008. This event will include presentations of invited talks, contributed papers, tutorials, discovery challenge and an industrial track. The ISPDC 2008 Proceedings are expected to be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press.

News:

30 March 2008 — A large selection of papers from ISPDC 2008 will be published in a special issue of the electronic journal Scalable Computing: Practice and Experience.
17 April 2008 — Four distinguished scientists confirmed plenary invited talks at ISPDC 2008.
10 May 2008 — We appologize for some papers acceptance/rejection notification delays due to missing or conflicting reviews. This will be sorted out by 12 May inclusive.
19 May 2008 — A preliminary tutorial schedule is available.
20 May 2008 — There is a possibility to make hotel reservation through the Conference Secretariat (link).
4 June 2008 — New information on social events is available here. The authors of accepted papers are requested to proceed with the registration and payment till 9 June.
4 September 2008 — An IEEE CS editor has been assigned to the proceedings of the ISPDC 2008. The deadline for delivering the final texts of papers has been extended to 22 September 2008. The final Paper Formatting and Submission Instructions can be found here.

This edition of the ISPDC conference will take place in the site of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) of AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
The DoT is a part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Electronics, and is an important centre for education and research in communications technology focusing on high-speed networking and services to e-world.
